Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:
Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang. :D
The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you  finally  made  the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq  to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean  more quality to the paintings, am i right?. 
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only  to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

Super Group Renewal

Update:

A huge, huge thank you to all who have already donated towards us becoming a Super Group!  We are now at 917 out of 4769 points.  We still have a long way to go until we make it though so please donate towards the cause and help our group out.  You'll feel all warm and fuzzy inside if you do :D


As you may have noticed, our Super Group status has expired.  That means no more journal skins, no more polls,  and no more journal features (along with a bunch of other things).  So we are asking for help from all of you wonderful group members.  

I have started a donation pool on my home page =futureplug that will allow you to donate any amount you want/can.  I think this is a much better way to go, rather than trying to find someone to foot the whole bill.  (For those who don't know, $1 = 80 points) Also, the upgrade price is currently 50% off, but I don't know how much longer that will be the case. So please show your support and help out the club.

And if the satisfaction of helping out the club isn't enough for you, I will feature 1 deviation from everyone who donates to the cause!  I will post this feature both on my personal page, and here at #Scapes-club

So again, thank you everyone for making this club great and please help out if you can.  Once we reach the goal, I'll renew the subscription and we'll be back in full Super Group glory!
