Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

A mage's abilities are:supernatural strength,able to cast magic spells,able to survive for a long period of time.
Her staff/rod appears when shes battling with someone.

What I personally find the hardest to draw is feet and hands. I found that with a lot of practice and a lot of frustrating mistakes my feet and hands actually look at the very least almost the way i want them to be.
Now my favorite Style of drawing is Anime or sometimes semi-realism, and i find that by doing studies of the more traditional style realism actually helps improve my anime pictures greatly. For instance i would practice drawing my hands and feet in different positions holding different things and from different angles. I also find it extremely helpful while i'm drawing and i'm having a particularly hard time drawing a hand or a foot in a certain position i will stop for a

I just want to remind all our members that the deadline for the B&W scape contest is tomorrow! So in case you forgot or are just a procrastinator, get your submissions in quickly. And to all those who already submitted entries, thank you and good luck.

Contest Details

We are going to try and stay away from generic themes like "waterscape" and come up with more creative ideas. We'll need help here, so let us know of any ideas you have for future contests.

The theme for this contest is "Black and White Scapes". This can be any type of scape, but it must be black and white. No sepia tone, no selective coloring, nothing other than good old fashioned b&w! We're giving you three whole weeks, so you have plenty of time to get out and work your magic. We look forward to seeing what you come up with!

Deadline: Saturday April 10th, 2010

Rules:

Must be either a water, land, or sky scape and be purely black and white.

Only 1 submission allowed per member.

We will allow old deviations to be submitted, but strongly encourage new works.

The submitted work must be your own.
